What is 4G? 

The term 4G refers to the fourth generation of cellular networks which will support IP packet switching. As of December 2010, no current technologies meet the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) standard. ITU Standard The ITU set the standard for 4G networks in October 2010 stating that the peak download speed of a 4G network must be 100 megabits per second (Mbps) for devices like mobile phones and up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) for local wireless access. 

What Are the Advantages of Using 4G?

 As of November 2010, Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) and 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) are marketed as 4G networks and are considered by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) as candidate technologies for 4G. High Speed Packet Access (HSPA+) networks are also marketed in the US as a 4G network though it is not recognized by the ITU. Pure Data Network The current 3G mobile network handle both voice and data separately. One of the most significant changes to the 4G network is that is a data network, transferring Internet Protocol (IP) data packets. A completely data based network will allow for more bandwidth which means more data can be passed through the network. Speed In October 2010, the ITU set the standard for 4G networks to have a peak data download speed of 100 Megabits per second (Mbps) in mobile applications such as mobile phones and roaming network devices and 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) in local, fixed locations. As of November 2010, no network technology can claim that it meets these standards though all the networks currently marketed as 4G do surpass current 3G speeds which tops out at 1 Mbps. The current WiMAX 802.16 standard, used mostly by Sprint and ClearMobile, has a current top speed of 3.0 Mbps while LTE has a theoretical maximum top speed of 12 Mbps. Range Current 3G network technology range is approximately 10 miles under optimum conditions. 4G candidate WiMAX currently has a range of up to 31 miles under optimum conditions. Hand Off Though current 3G networks do have the ability to transfer data, when a user leaves a 3G coverage area for another, the data transfer may be halted or stopped due compatibility issues. The improved 4G network standards will eliminate this, allowing for smooth hand off from one coverage area to another without interruption to any ongoing data transfers. This will result in smooth streaming data for the user.

Competition is very common and often times very aggressive in a free market place where a large number of buyers and sellers interact with one another. Economic theory describes a number of market competitive structures that takes into account the differences in the number of buyers, sellers, products sold, and prices charged. There are two extreme forms of market competitive conditions; namely, perfectly competitive and imperfectly competitive. The following article provides a clear overview of each type of market competitive structures and provides an explanation of how they are different to one another.

What is Perfect Competition?

Perfect competition is where the sellers within a market place do not have any distinct advantage over the other sellers since they sell a homogeneous product at similar prices. There are many buyers and sellers, and since the products are very similar in nature there is little competition as the buyer’s needs could be satisfied by the products sold by any seller in the market place. Since there are a large number of sellers each seller will have smaller market share, and it is impossible for one or few sellers to dominate in such a market structure.

Perfectly competitive market places also have very low barriers to entry; any seller can enter the market place and start selling the product. Prices are determined by the forces of demand and supply and, therefore, all sellers must conform to a similar price level. Any company that increases the price over competitors will lose market share since the buyer can easily switch to the competitor’s product.

What is Imperfect Competition?

Imperfect competition as the word suggests is a market structure in which the conditions for perfect competition are not satisfied. This refers to a number of extreme market conditions including monopoly, oligopoly, monopsony, oligopsony and monopolistic competition. Oligopoly refers to a market structure in which a small number of sellers compete with each other and offer a similar product to a large number of buyers. Since the products are so similar in nature, there is intense competition among market players, and high barriers to entry since most new firms may not have the capital, technology to startup.

A monopoly is where one firm will control the entire market place, and will hold 100% market share. The firm in a monopoly market will have control over the product, price, features, etc. Such firms usually hold a patented product, proprietary knowledge/technology or holds access to a single important resource. Monospsony is where there are many sellers in the market with just one buyer and oligopsony is where there are a large number of sellers and a small number of buyers. Monopolistic competition is where 2 firms within a market place sell differentiated products that cannot be used as substitutes to each other.

Perfect competition

A perfectly competitive market is a hypothetical market where competition is at its greatest possible level.  Neo-classical economists argued that perfect competition would produce the best possible outcomes for consumers, and society.

Key Characteristics

Perfectly competitive markets exhibit the following characteristics:
There is perfect knowledge, with no information failure or time lags.  Knowledge is freely available to all participants, which means that risk-taking is minimal and the role of the entrepreneur is limited.

Trademark irregularities notwithstanding, both the 6204 and 6205 are designated Submariner models in Rolex product literature.

In 1954, Rolex also produced a small number of ref. 6200 Submariners. This was the first Submariner (although not the first Rolex) to make use of the Mercedes hand set, a feature of all subsequent Submariners. The 6200 also featured an oversized winding crown compared to the 6204 and 6205 models. Within a few years, Rolex revised its Submariner line, producing the 6536 (small crown) and 6538 (oversized crown) models. These watches had "improved" movements (the cal. 1030), including a chronometer version in some 6536 models (designated 6536/1), the now-familiar Mercedes hands, and the Submariner logo and depth rating printed on the dial.

By the early 1960s, these models had given way to the 5508 (small crown) and 5510 (large crown) models. All of these early Submariners used either gilt (6200, 6204, 6205) or gilt/silver gilt (6536, 6538) printing on glossy black dials. Radium paint was used for the luminous indices.

The next wave of Submariners, the 5512 (chronometer version) and 5513 (non-chronometer), marked a significant change in the appearance of the popular Rolex design. "Shoulders" were added to the crown side of the case to provide protection for the winding/setting mechanism. In early watches—until 1964 or so—these shoulders were pyramid-shaped and ended in points. Later watches were manufactured with rounded shoulders. The 5512 and 5513 were both fitted with the oversized crown, which thereafter became a standard feature of the Submariner line. In the early 1960s, Rolex discontinued the use of radium paint for the luminous indices, switching to safer tritium-infused paint.

Organization (Enterprise): Organization of Enterprises means to plan a business, to start it and run it. It means to bring the factors i.e. land, labour and capital together to undertake a business or production process.

Organization implies not only running the business but also shouldering the loss, if any. The man who undertakes all this work is called as organizer or Entrepreneur.

Importance of Organization (Enterprise): 

Now a day, organization is very important as Production process has become too much complicated one. A small happening in the country or abroad influences the business. The organization if done properly the production process will not hamper. Hence proper planning and execution of business is necessary. In view of this the job of organizer becomes very important. Therefore whole time devotion of organizer is required for successful business. The other factors land is possessed by land owner, capital is possessed by capitalist and labourer is only ready to offer.
