What is Human Resource Management
Human resource management is the utilization of individuals to achieve 
organization objectives. 
What are The Human Resource Management Functions:
people who are engaged in the management of human resource develop and 
work through an integrated HRM system.these are five functions: 
 (1)Staffing: (Human Resource Management) 
Staffing is the process through which an organization ensure that it always has 
the proper number of employees with the appropriate skills in the right 
jobs,at the right time,to achieve organization objectives.
staffing involves job analysis,human resource planning,recruitment,and 
selection
 2) Human resource development HRD: (Human Resource Management)
HRM is a major function consisting not only of training and development 
but also of individual career planning and development 
activities,organization development,performance management and 
appraisal.
*Career planning: is an on going process whereby individual sets career
 goals and identifies the means to achieve them.
*Career development: is a formal approach used by the organization to 
ensure that people unit the proper qualifications and experiences are 
available when needed.
*Organization development: is the planned process of improving an 
organization by developing its structures,systems,process to improve 
effectiveness and achieving desired goals. 
3)Compensation:(Human Resource Management)
A well thought out compensation system provide employees 
with adequate and equitable for their contributions to meeting 
organizational goals. 
*Direct financial compensation 
*Indirect financial compensation 
*Non financial compensation. 
 4)Safety and Health:(Human Resource Management)
Safety involves protecting employees from injuries 
caused by work related accident health refers to the employees freedom 
from physical or emotional illness.
 5)Employee and labour relation: (Human Resource Management)
It is a business is required by law to 
recognize a union and bargain with it in good faith if the firm's 
employees want the union to represent them.
In the past this relationship was accepted way of life for many 
employees but most firms today would rather have a union free 
environment.
